About the company

BlueStar Modular is the modular building division of BlueStar Steel Frames. It draws on BlueStar’s established light gauge steel design, detailing, manufacturing and frame-stage experience across residential, commercial, industrial and modular applications.

Rather than treating framing, assembly, transport and installation as disconnected steps, BlueStar Modular brings them into one coordinated project pathway. The final scope will depend on your project, approvals, consultant team, transport route, site access and finishing requirements; however, the design intent is always to reduce avoidable site work and give the project team a clearer sequence from concept to installation.

Why build with light gauge steel modules?

The strength of a modular approach is not a single material claim or a fixed speed promise. It is the ability to coordinate the steel structure, assembly sequence, site works and installation method around the actual project.

  1. SpeedOff-site assembly can run alongside approved site works, helping reduce some weather exposure and site-trade sequencing. Actual programme outcomes depend on approvals, site readiness, transport and installation conditions.
  2. QualityLight gauge steel framing supports accurate, repeatable geometry, while controlled assembly can improve consistency in the way components are brought together.
  3. DurabilitySteel framing and associated building elements are selected and engineered to suit the applicable project requirements. Light gauge steel is durable, resistant to termite attack and does not provide combustible fuel; the overall compliance pathway is confirmed project by project.
  4. SustainabilityOff-site planning can reduce some site cutting, packaging and rework. Steel is also widely recyclable at end of life, subject to the wider building’s disassembly and waste-management approach.
  5. Design flexibilityModules can be used alone or combined — from a single studio to a multi-module home or a stacked, multi-unit development.
  6. Cost certaintyEarly coordination can improve cost visibility by resolving key design, transport and installation questions before manufacture. Final costs still depend on the building design, approvals, site works, finishes and delivery conditions.
